As a culinary enthusiast, I have always been passionate about creating delicious and visually appealing dishes that bring people together. I am a highly skilled pastry chef by day and a creative culinary chef by night. As the owner of Bánh and Butter Bakery Café, I specialize in French pastries, Asian-inspired desserts, and fusion cuisine that will tantalize your taste buds. My unique style is a result of my diverse background and extensive experience working in different kitchens around the world.

Bio

My journey into the professional pastry world started at Johnson and Wales University in Denver, where I studied Baking and Pastry Arts. My passion and dedication soon led me to Yssingeaux, France, where I studied French Pastry Arts. On my last day abroad, I stumbled upon a small patisserie and tried my first mille-crepe cake. It was love at first bite. I shared my story with the chef and he proudly showed me his kitchen. Smiling, he handed me his recipe; a goodbye present and souvenir for future business endeavors. I cherish it with my life. But more importantly, I now get to share his recipe with my customers, my family and friends.

When I returned to the US, I put my newly developed skills to the test by working my way through several kitchens and taking on a teaching position at a well-established culinary school. Though all of my experiences, my goal remained in tact: to open my own bakery where I could showcase my talents and cultivate a neighborhood experience. 

I opened Bánh and Butter Bakery Café in April 2022. My vision was always to create a space grounded in community. To provide a nurturing environment for team members to learn and grow, for community members to gather and purchase local art and goods. To partner with neighborhood businesses to showcase local talents and elevate each other’s missions. It is my pride and joy, a work in progress, my heart.

Through my work, I  hope to open up taste buds to flavors and creations that have yet to be experienced, sharing the love and heart I put into every bite.
